The primate capital of the world; Kibale National Park is home of chimpanzees like non other in the whole world. 

It is located in western Uganda, protecting moist evergreen rainforest. It is 795km2 in size and ranges between 1,100 meters and 1,600 meters in elevation. Despite encompassing primarily moist evergreen forest, it contains a diverse array of landscapes. With a population of over 1400 Chimpanzees and 13 other primate species, Kibale is indeed the primate capital of the world. No any other place in world matches this record. The park also boasts largest populations of the endangered colobus monkey the uncommon L'Hoest's Monkey.
Other primates in Kibale National park include; Black and white colobus monkey, Blue monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabey ( Uganda Mangabey), red-tailed monkey, Bushbaby and Potto!

The nearby community-rub Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary offers birders an impressive bird list of 335 species.
